These are the specific ways this file is misread. We list them because a limit you do not know about is indistinguishable from a finding.

Owners are filed as separate legal entities with no grouping key. One operator running sixty buildings can appear as sixty unrelated companies, and nothing in the file says otherwise.
Figures are reproduced as submitted by the enrollee. They are not verified by CMS, and not verified by us.
Lenders and property owners appear in the same file as operators. Reading them as operators is the single most common error made with this dataset.
